Cairn Energy's Indian subsidiary Cairn India and its partner India Petroleum and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) will invest Rs 200 crore (4 billion crores) by 2011 USD) to increase oil production at the Bermer field in Rajasthan, India.

After the oilfields are put into production, it can reduce India ’s crude oil imports by 7%. .

This project is to improve the performance of oil, gas, water and rock with each other by injecting chemicals through a high-pressure reciprocating pump, and more oil is produced, also known as tertiary oil recovery.
